About
Agung Rai founded ARMA to preserve and develop Balinese art and culture. Its permanent collection moves from classical Kamasan works and 1930s–40s Batuan painting to modern Indonesian art, with pieces by Raden Saleh, I Gusti Nyoman Lempad and Walter Spies. The wider Pengosekan complex adds temporary exhibitions, cultural workshops, evening performances, a library, reading room and bookshop.
